Is massage beneficial for you?
Absolutely! Massage and all types of Bodywork has many benefits, including increased blood flow, supports healthy lymph function, helps relieve built up tension, relaxes muscles, relaxes your nervous system, and much more.
How far from Kailua-Kona town are you?
We are about 20 min. South of Kailua-Kona in the historic village of Kealakekua, right in the middle of scenic Kona Coffee Country.
Is there convenient parking?
Yes. We have lots of FREE parking right next to us.
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Yes. We have very easy wheelchair access available.
When should I arrive?
We ask that you get here 5’-10’ before your start time so you have a chance to relax, take a breath, maybe have a drink of water, and fill out a short intake form and liability waver.
How do you do bookings, and how far out are you booked?
We take our bookings over the phone so we can actually talk with you about your desires and concerns. It gives us a better opportunity to fit your needs with our capabilities. We do take walk-ins (on a space available basis), and long term bookings. We have 3 rooms and 4 beds so most times we can accommodate
you.
Can I request a specific therapist?
Yes. We have male and female therapists. They all have different specialties and techniques. Though they are all experienced and highly skilled some do a bit better at one kind of massage then another.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 24hr. Notice for Cancellations or Change of time, so we can rearrange the schedule for our therapists. If you do not show up for a scheduled appointment you may be charged up to 100% of your service.
What kind of discounts do you offer?
For full time residents in Hawaii ( with valid Hawaii ID ) we offer a Kama‘Aina discount. We always have a monthly special, and we have many popular packages that are nicely discounted.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We take all major credit cards, ApplePay, Pay Pal, Google Pay and, surprisingly cash.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes. You can purchase gift certificates in any amount, or any service. For example if you purchased a G.C. for a 60’ massage and the recipient wanted a longer treatment we would credit the G.C. amount to the new treatment.
Do you accept health insurance?
Unfortunately not. We do take Workers Comp. and Auto Insurance with prior authorization. Most health insurance plans do not cover massage, and the ones that do, pay so little we can not afford to work with them (as much as we would like to).
What is included in your massages?
Personal attention, hot towels, aroma therapy, hot stones, fleece padded beds with table warmers, and air conditioned rooms.
Is gratuity mandatory?
No. Tipping is ALWAYS optional. Our therapists work very hard to give you the best service possible, so if you feel they have done an exemplary job and you would like to recognize that with a monetary contribution they will greatly appreciate it.
Is it safe to receive massage when I’m pregnant?
Yes. Massage is very beneficial for expectant mothers and babies alike. You can safely receive massage at all stages of pregnancy. We have special pillows to keep you comfortable. Please let us know what trimester you are in.
Do you work with children?
Of course. Massages and Facials are good for everyone. Children under
18 years do need parental consent.
Can I receive massage if I have cancer, or other illness?
Probably. It depends on the illness, type of cancer, location, and what stage it is in. Sometimes it is a good idea to get a doctors consent first.
What kind of oil do you use?
We use a special blend of organic, hypoallergenic nut free oil. We can also use coconut oil or other kinds upon request.
Do I have to wear anything special?
No. Whatever you wear is fine. People undress to their level of comfort. Then get on the bed under a sheet. They are draped at all times except for the body part that is being worked on. ie: The back or an arm.
Do we have an outdoor space for doing massage?
No. We are in the middle of beautiful Kona Coffee Country at 1500’ elevation, so it can be chilly sometimes.
Can I take a shower?
Yes. We have a beautiful yet small shower that we mostly use for our Spa Body Treatments. We charge a small fee if you like to you use it …coming from the beach…or heading to the airport. Please allow enough time for your shower to be able to start your treatment on time.
